Ek Chutki Happiness...

Once upon a time, there was a great philosopher named Thales. Thales lived in Miletus, Greece and was a man of  great knowledge. He was interested in almost everything-history, philosophy, mathematics, astronomy and what not!!! Once Thales was observing the sky as he did often, and was so engrossed into it that he fell accidentally into a well. He was badly hurt and started shouting for help.  A neighbour came to his help and managed to get him out of the well after a great deal of trouble. The neighbour, as irritated he was, shouted at Thales and told him the following:

"Hark ye, old fellow, why, in striving to pry into what is in heaven, do you not manage to see what is on earth?"

Out of his anger, the unlearned, ignorant and ordinary fellow delivered words of great wisdom to the learned philosopher.

Is it wrong to search for ecstasy? Certainly not. But meanwhile the bits and pieces of happiness that are scattered randomly, hidden overtly throughout the journey of life are not worth missing. Happiness found in small, minute and ordinary things are like a teaspoon full of salt, without which any majestic meal is tasteless.

God must be a great artist. His master piece is we, the humans. We tend to make simple things more complex and then try to find the solution to make the complex things simple! But anyways, that is how we are. That is how the world moves on and that is how life goes on, but in this whole process of chasing for something inscrutable, we come across many such things that are of little value, but of great importance. They are not the aims of our lives, but they make the journey towards our aims a little interesting and more bearable.
Well, here the list goes...

1.) Stylish Clothes and Funky Hair Style:
After putting on a newly purchased pair of clothes or after getting a new hair cut, a person feels like celebrity and thinks that he or she is the most beautiful person in the world. These are the times when anyone becomes a little narcissistic as a lot of time is spent before mirror silently appreciating one's looks. Though the feeling lasts for a very short time, it titillates enough to rejuvenate one again.
2.)Chocolates & Pastries:
They double your happiness, especially when given for free. Given a choice between the Heaven and Belgium, I will surely prefer the latter. Mayans were smart enough to understand the value of chocolate and keep cacao beans  as their currency.

The  clock was ticking unusually fast during last few days, but today it seems to have slowed down to compensate for the lost time.

'TIME' is misconstrued as a mysterious entity.

I think it is not.

The hands of clock are sometimes with you and sometimes against you.

Don't get discouraged as they are not meant to be against you all the time.

Don't be complacent as they are not meant to be with you all the time.

Only a dysfunctional clock can give you same time all the time,

But then clocks dysfunction as they are man made, not the time.

I am not a princess nor a doll.

I am a self made woman who stood unflinching in the face of storms.

I dream not of a prince, but of a warrior.

As a prince 'is' a prince by his breed and a warrior 'becomes' a warrior by his deed.

I want to shout..

I want to shout that I am so verrryyy happy.

And I am loving it.

Hey Mr. God, I love you and want to tell you that you are really cool, though a little lazy and slow, but cool and fab.

Mr. God, thank you.

Life is beautiful, just change the angle if you can't see the beauty.. :)

Simple funda and simple ways... To be happy one does not need to move mountains.

Use your heart and use your brain. Don't let any one of them dominate. And still if the need be, let heart take it.

Don't be calculative in relations. Believe me, even if you are at loss, you will feel fabulous.

Everybody always runs behind his own happiness. For a change, try sometimes to make others happy.

Life certainly is about big things. It is about small things too. Don't forget to stop by and look around. There are millions of things that may surprise you.

People should matter more than things.

Don't ever lose the company of your own self.

If you like something, appreciate it. If you like someone tell him. Praise people when they deserve it.
Be harsh to them when they deserve it.

Close your eyes and try to see the things. :)

Make somebody's day. Some or the other person makes your day, everyday.

Laugh. Laugh for small reasons. Even for no reasons.

The world can't exist if there is no balance. Good and evil are part of nature.

 Stop existing and start living.

Life is beautiful. If you can't see the beauty, change the angle. :)

In case if I ever happen to be ill, don't call a doctor, call my students.

It will just take a class and I will be recovered.

They are my lifeboats (weird analogy, but true one); they are my energy boosters.

They are my raison d'etre.

In this life, anywhere I be, anything that I do can never keep me far from you.

They say we are sent on the earth for a purpose, and not all can find it and follow it.

I don't remember exactly when I started saying "I want to be a teacher, when I grow up". It was very early in childhood, I think. But then I was born with it.

I was born to be a teacher.

Joie de vivre!
